Colm G’s top 40 singles chart of 2012 (5)

AZEALIA BANKS – 212

January 2012

Weeks on chart: 35

Peak position:  12

The New Yorker began the year by coming third in the BBC’s sound of 2012 poll and then released this absolute monster of a tune.  Amazing to think that after sticking around for the best part of nine months, it still never managed to break the top 10!  It’s so unique that I dunno where to begin with a description, so all I’ll say is……Video of the year (I can’t take my eyes off her! just mesmerizing) , and what a stunner!  Sit back and enjoy….
